The authors of this book, four friends and exeptionally successful french women Anne Berest, Audrey Diwan, Caroline de Maigret and Sophie Mas explain how to be Parisian in a very humourous and interesting way – from how they behave in certain situations and what makes them special to how Parisiennes dress and have fun.
In a fun way these young talented authors present their opinions about fashion, beauty, cooking, men and children.
This book will make you laugh and certainly inspire you to live life to the fullest and enjoy every single moment.
If you haven’t read it yet, my dears, don’t waste any time and make sure to grab a copy at your nearest book store.
Today I would like to share with you a few life lessons that I learned from this book that many are calling a women’s bible.
- It’s okay to accept your imperfections
Only when we can accept ourselves the way we are, with all our flaws and imperfections, will we be able to live our life freely.
We don’t need to feel bad about those flaws, because my dears nobody in this world is perfect. Each and every one of us is special in their own way.
Progress and not perfection is what we should be striving towards.
- Don’t take life too seriously
We think too much, analyse even more…what happend, what is happening, what hasn’t happened but might, or maybe not, what was said or should have been said, what we could have, but didn’t, but wanted…and all that over and over again.
Life is our most precious present we have, but instead of being happy about it and greatful for it, we worry too much and take it too seriously.
- Fall in love
Fall in love with moments, those small, semingly meaningless ones. Fall in love with nature. With the singing of birds. With the coffee you drink, the book you read. Fall in love with a song and notes. Fall in love with dancing. Fall in love with yourself. Fall in love with him. Fall in love with life.
- Dare to love
The biggest gift from God is the ability to love. To love purely, with a sincere heart, like a child…It doesn’t mean that there is always going to be sunshine and rainbows, but nevertheless don’t run a way from love. Don’t seek excuses, but ways. Love is worth it.
- Never stop believing in your dreams
Every journey begins with a small step, uncontrollable desire and with a heart of child, that could conquer the world. It all starts with a single spark, that is must and with a passion, from deep inside.
- Books are a part of your identity
Read as much as you can. Read during your breaks, when you get up, before sleep…Read on your way to school or work..
Books teach, entertain, encourage us to think, inspire, make us laugh, animate us to act.
- Don’t follow trends, let them follow you
Be what you are. Buy and wear what you like the most and not what others tell you to. Find that one piece of clothing that will always make you feel powerful when you wear it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a coat, dress or hat – what matters is that it’s important to you, because of the way it makes you feel.
I hope that reading this will make you stop for a second and truly feel how truly amazing it is to be alive.
I hope you tell yourself: I can do anything!
Because my dears, you can do anything!
Lots of love,
